At The Green Runners, we are here to help you and your club make the changes necessary to fight the climate crisis.
On this page, you can find a set of general resources to get you started as a Green Runner, plus links to more specific resources relating to our four Pillars. We know making change can leave you wondering ‘Where on Earth do I start!?’. We have your back!
Top Tip – Imperfect progress is better than no progress
Before you dive into these resources, just remember: Imperfect progress is better than no progress. We are all responsible for the welfare of our planet, but that does not mean you have to take on all the responsibility. No matter what you are doing – big or small – you are trying, and that is a huge step.

How to talk about what we do
If you are looking for a way to easily describe our work to friends and family (and convince them to join us), here is a starter:
“The Green Runners is a volunteer-led community group specifically for runners who care about our environment. They raise awareness of running’s impact on the climate, campaign for solutions, push for industry and political change, and support runners to make personal changes. They ask members to make a Pledge under their four Pillars: How we travel, how we kit up, how we eat, and how we speak out.”
Here is some more helpful information from our co-founder Damian Hall on the founding principles of The Green Runners.
