Where Southwark parkrun
Led by Ben
Ben’s recap: “Southwark park is a lovely green space with a stunning array of trees and grassland offering an oasis within the concrete jungle of Southwark and London more generally. Obviously parkrun offers a wonderful excuse to engage with nature, and ourselves, every Saturday morning and it was wonderful to be joined by 652 others (614 runners and 38 volunteers) today. A small group, well four of us, were meeting as a local meet up for members of the green runners. We met early to either acquaint or re-acquaint ourselves with each other, before running our own parkrun (some raced, some ran, some walked) before reconvening after the run to litter pick for an hour. Between the four of us we managed to collect quite a stash of litter, although we were all struck by how wonderfully maintained the park is.”

Meet 08:40 outside the Southwark Park Pavilion Café. Run or walk parkrun at your own pace. We plan to litter pick after the run, followed by refreshments in the café for those who want to stay.
