The Green Runners is going on tour! We’re taking our popular ‘Village Green’ concept to this year’s Love Trails festival in the beautiful Welsh Gower Peninsula, where we hope to see plenty of TGR members and like-minded runners, passionate about the planet.
We’ve got a jam-packed programme, including a talk and panel discussion, a community of small earth-positive organisations, and organised beach cleans and runs where you can all get involved.
Runners have always been leaders—setting the pace, pushing boundaries, and proving that movement is power. “The Trail Ahead: How Runners Are Shaping a Better World” is a conversation with diverse voices from the running community, about how we can take action together to build a greener, fairer future, from sustainable racing to advocacy that reaches far beyond the finish line. Join us as we explore inspiring stories, bold ideas, and practical steps for using your stride to make a lasting impact!
The panel includes our very own David Starley as host, with guests Deo Kato (the first person to run from Cape Town to London), TGR co-founder Darren Evans, who is also owner of Pair Ups, Hannah Cox of Project Salt Run, and Evie from Alpine Run Project, plus a representative from Trash Free Trails.
Our Village Green will be set within Love Trails’ Garden of Possibilities, an area within the heart of the main festival field, and a space where curious minds of all ages can explore, learn, play, make and reconnect.
This will including Snowdonia Gear Repair, Into Ultra, Pair Up and Running on Plants – plenty of organisations with a shared vision demonstrating how you can run more sustainably.
Join GoodGym and The Green Runners over Friday and Sunday for a feel good/do good run experience to Whiteford Sands / Broughton Bay where you’ll join forces to clean the beach of any ocean rubbish that’s washed ashore.
See you there!
