July’s Local Meet Up: Nottingham

  • Forest Rec parkrun,

On Saturday, Nottinghamshire-based Green Runners volunteered at Forest Rec parkrun for their July Local Meet Up. The group took on numerous roles including timekeeping, handing out finish tokens, barcode scanning, marshalling, and tail walking as 285 runners and walkers completed the hilly 5k course.

In addition, Pictures For The People were in attendance to film interviews with the group. The interviews will be used to create a short film, part of a collaboration between Useful Projects and Sport England and we’re honoured that TGR were asked to take part.

Thank you to Su, Caren, Matt N, Jon, Meagan, Matt J and Kev for volunteering and taking part in the interviews. Sadly, due to unforeseen circumstances Aimee was unable to join the group on the morning. All at TGR send Aimee their best wishes.

Watch this space for the green carpet being rolled out at the film premiere.
